BIGMUN is an international conference hosted annually by Birkerød Gymnasium and has remained one of the largest and most prestigious in all of Scandinavia. Situated in the beautiful Danish countryside just 25 minutes from the centre of Copenhagen, our school is delighted to welcome a diverse community of delegates and teachers from all over the world to our conference each year.

 

In 2020, we opened our doors to over 450 participants, where the conference became a meeting point for reflective and engaged individuals. In 2021 and 2022 BIGMUN was sadly cancelled. However, we are more than proud to announce that BIGMUN will finally return in 2023.

Birkerød Gymnasium's MUN society is looking forward to once again host an event that fosters lasting friendships, international awareness, and most importantly, the chance to tackle some of the largest problems faced by our generation.

 

BIGMUN 2023 will take place from the 22nd to the 26th of February, 2023. It is with great honour that we can now open for registration. More information can be found under Registration," if there are any answers not answered on the website or documents attached, please feel free to contact us.

The theme of BIGMUN 2023 is "Power in Unity." The theme is meant to reflect the great power of standing together and collaborating. Throughout history, humanity has achieved great things through collaboration, and we wish, especially during these tough times, that we show the power of unity. MUN is about debating and discussing creative solutions, and about finding common ground and compromise. Therefore, we wish to dedicate the theme of this year's BIGMUN to "Power in Unity."

Throughout the BIGMUN conference, the press team will be working hard to produce daily editions of BIGMONITOR. BIGMONITOR can be pre-ordered, or bought at the conference. The profits made from this will be donated to the Danish Red Cross, in support of their help in Ukraine.
